As some easily available products being perfect alternatives to nail polish remover, you don’t have to rely solely on the latter for taking off your existing nail color.
How to Take off Nail Polish without Remover: 10 Super Easy Ways
1. Toothpaste
Apply a small dollop of toothpaste on each nail and rub it with either a cotton ball or a toothbrush. The nail color will come off easily within a few minutes due to the ethyl acetate content.
2. Hand Sanitizer
A few drops of sanitizer on your nails will help remove the nail color. Use cotton balls to wipe off the sanitizer and nail polish.
3. Perfume and Deodorant
Spraying perfume or deodorant on your colored nail and removing that afterward with a cotton ball is another effective way. You may also spray the perfume directly on the cotton and then scrub that against your nail.
4. Hairspray
Applying hairspray instead of perfume will also result in smooth removal of your nail polish. The hairspray may leave your nail dry so you must be fast while wiping this off.
5. Nail Polish
Yes, you read that right! Removing one coat is possible with another coat of nail polish. Choose any nail polish and apply them on your nails. Quickly rub it off with cotton and see how the new coat disappears along with the old one.
6. Top Coat
A clear top coat works as the same way as the nail polish does. Just apply this and remove afterward.
7. Warm Water
Immerse your nails in lukewarm water for around 20-25 minutes and rub with a piece of dry clothes. This is the most natural way if you don’t want to deal with acetone and alcohol present in the sprays and nail polishes.
8. Vinegar and Lemon Mix
Make a mixture of lemon and vinegar by taking 1 tablespoon of each. You may apply this with cotton balls on your nails or soak your nails in this mixture for nearly 10 minutes. Now immersing the nails in warm water for around 10 minutes prior to this application will quicken the nail polish removal process.
9. Hydrogen Peroxide and Water Mix
Mix hydrogen peroxide and hot water in 2:1 proportion and keep your fingers into the mixture for 9-10 minutes. Then use a nail file and rub it on your nails to remove the polish.
10. Paint Remover
The usage is simple, just like your nail polish remover, but this is not at all a recommended way and should be avoided unless nothing else is available. While applying this, make sure you are in a well-ventilated room.
